Popular Tea Room closes, and doesn’t

Posted on 9 November 2020, in , and so far there are no comments

The popular Kavanagh’s Tea Room I to close as the proprietors move to new premises to focus more on supplying restaurants and hotels with gluten free products.

In a statement on social media they said:

ANNOUNCEMENT
“2020 what a year so far. Kavanagh’s opened it’s doors in May 2017, we spent 3 Months refurbishing the inside and outside to make it the special place it is today. It has been such a wonderful labour of love.

We have had such an amazing time and have truly loved every moment!

Three and a half years has absolutely flown by. We have hosted breakfasts, lunch, Bistro evenings. We’ve supplied and catered for Hotels, Estates, local Businesses, the Councils and more recently Royalty!

Kavanagh’s hosted Champagne & Gin evenings, along with Murder Mysteries, Baby and Bridal Showers, Birthdays and themed events i.e. Harry Potter!

2020 has been such a difficult year for everyone and harder for independent businesses, so having found great success in producing Gluten Free, it seemed a natural transition to focus the business going forward in supplying Restaurants, Cafes, Hotels & Spas.

Although the Tea Room will be closing, Kavanagh’s is still going strong and we have moved to the Victoria Hall.

Afternoon Tea and baking for you has always been our greatest joy and this will continue through our website and social media pages for collection or delivery.

We want to thank all of our wonderful family, friends, customers and suppliers for all of your support for the past 3 1/2 years.

We have had the most amazing few years and know that we have many more ahead of us in our new venture. Post lockdown we have some exciting events coming up to get us all in the festive spirit. 😁🥳🎄.

It’s seems apt on this historic day ( Remembrance Sunday) to leave you with a few words from Sir Winston Churchill

“The best way to stay consistent, is to change with circumstances”

Lots of love Clare and Martyn”

we wish them the best of luck going forwards.
